Mergen Nachin is a Research Associate at Signal Kinetics Research Group. He’s doing research on scaling RFID-based micro-logistics solutions to real-world applications in supply chain, retail, warehousing, and manufacturing.
He completed his Master of Engineering degree in the same lab and the thesis topic was “Scaling RFID positioning systems using Distributed and Split Computing”.
He previously spent nine years as a Software Engineer at Facebook focusing on scalability, performance, and efficiency challenges of Facebook’s infrastructure and data centers. He was a core member of Facebook’s London `Site Builder’, where he played a key role in technical lead and hiring growth, and helped establish the company’s first engineering office outside of the US.
